I want to setup a family blog as part of a Christmas gift. Yes, last minute idea.

Blog site should offer these features:

Ability for members to go in and add blog entries.
passworded would be nice.
Ability to add media (pictures, slideshows, videos, podcast perhaps)
Calendar of events (for family events, sports schedule, etc.)
Ability for other permanent pages. (i.e. history of our family, year in review, etc)

I think that is a good starting point.

Please note - Myspace is not an option as this will have children involved and some of the parents dont approve of Myspace.

I am trying to integrate a blog onto my website. I need something that is easy to put into my code (I am not very html technical) and I want something that is easy to manage and easy to update reguarly with new blog entries. I want every blog entry to have a new title and to be on a new page. I welcome any help! Thanks

I’m interested in publishing some articles on a blog where they’ll get read widely. I’ve heard that some sites even pay people if their blog entries get enough interest. I’m mainly interested in getting read, but getting paid would be an added bonus!
